My Life
I was born and raised in the small town of Christiansburg, Virginia just fifteen minutes from my now beloved home of Blacksburg, Virginia. I am now a third-year Sports Media and Analytics major at Virginia Tech. My incredible family consists of my brother, Camden, my father, Jimmy, and my wonderful mother, Deanna. I expect to graduate in the spring of 2026 and plan to further my education in grad school.
My Story
I was brought into the media industry at a very young age. My father was a journalist for the Virginia Tech Athletic Department for over 25 years. He taught me how to read and write and ruled my passion for media creation. I became interested in photography and video creation around this time. This eventually spiraled into a full-blown obsession with media, specifically sports media. That interest never died, and it is the sole reason I chose my major.
Post-graduation I plan to attend a grad school to get my masters in a journalistic field. After that, I hope to become a sports journalist or sports broadcaster. I am involved with multiple internship organizations where I am gaining experience to achieve that goal. I have devoted my life to this profession and I am extremely excited to see what the future holds.
